OFFICIAL UNDERGROUND party application
UMS believes in community-sourced ideas, and that often, the more, the merrier rings true. We are excited to welcome homies, community partners, dreamers, organizations, artists and more to play a bigger role in the festival through an Official Underground Party application process.
New for 2022, 'Official Underground Parties' are chunks of time during the festival where a special program is happening (for UMS vets, think of these as an evolution of past years’ “Day Parties”, but that may occur at any time day or night). These can be at one our three UMS Stages, 10+ UMS Venues, or similar locations from 6th to Alameda on or near Broadway. The programming must happen during the core UMS Weekend (Friday Afternoon - Sunday Night). Other than that, we don't want to enact many further creative boundaries. We request you fill out the form below to let us know about your big idea. We’ll review them every week or so, and get in touch with those that show some grit and promise.
In an effort to be as equitable as possible to all community organizations, businesses, and creative collaborations, we're asking that everyone who wants to throw a special theme party or event at UMS fill out our community app.
